NOTICE TO ALL MONTSERRAT REGISTERED RADIO AMATEURS
- The Authority, shall, recall the call-sign issued to an Amateur Radio Operator, where the Operator has allowed the license to elapse for a period exceeding Six (6) months from its expiry date. A call sign which has been recalled will be returned to the pool to be made available for other users.
- The Montserrat Info-Communications Authority (MICA) is in the process of updating its Amateur Radio records. To enable this process, the Board has agreed that all Amateur Radio Operators registered within the Montserrat Amateur Database will be required to complete an application form along with the necessary documentation. Once this is done, for future renewals, operators will only need to complete a new application form, if there has been a change of operating equipment as per the list submitted with the original application.
- Delinquent operators would be required to pay the outstanding arrears for the year(s) due, before they can be issued with a new license. This has become necessary, considering that the license must be renewed annually and the Authority must assume that the licensee continued to use his/her equipment during this period, unless a letter is provided by the operator to state otherwise.
- Amateur Radio Operators wanting to change their “call signs” would be charged an administration fee of Twenty (EC $20.00) or Eight (US $8.00)
